University of Pennsylvania Press

Philadelphia, PA

Wayne Hall, a converted mansion on the University of Pennsylvania campus dating from 1876, was renovated to serve as the new home of the Penn Press. The 12,000 square foot building was brought up to modern office standards, while retaining its historical character. The project featured the preservation and enhancement of millwork and other original materials, and the discovery and partial restoration of Victorian era wall murals and stenciling.
