Excellent design is a balance of functionality, sustainability, aesthetics, innovation, durability, operational efficiency, and cost effectiveness. Successful design is created by understanding our client and how we can help them achieve their definition of success.
Studio Agoos Lovera began when founding partners Jorge Lovera and Ted Agoos established Agoos/Lovera Architects (A/LA) in September 1983, after several years of working together in leading Philadelphia design firms.
The firm sustained growth over the years with a clear sense of purpose, and sound, ongoing long-range planning. Consistent with our growth, Jim Rowe became Principal in 1999, joining the founders in leading the firm. The evolution of the firm continues with founding Principal Jorge Lovera retiring in 2011, the announcement of a new name, Studio Agoos Lovera soon after and Ted Agoos’s retirement at the end of 2013.
Since the beginning, our mission as a firm has been to provide the highest possible level of design services to a diversified client base; we quickly reached that goal, with designs for private and public clients in the corporate/commercial, cultural, higher education, schools, residential, and sports/entertainment fields.
The size and quality of our staff provides our firm and clients with a significant level of technical depth, consistently high quality levels of design and documentation and staffing flexibility reflected in the high number of repeat clients and long-standing client relationships. Our projects cover a wide range of scale and complexity with a construction range of $1 million to $300 million.
